Weekly tutoring sessions meet once a week for 2 hrs for 4 weeks. Sessions consist of a small group of students and are led by a certified teacher who possess excellent interpersonal skills and have demonstrated a strong commitment to assisting students academically. Students attending a weekly tutoring session benefit not only from a knowledgeable and experienced tutor but also from the opportunity for discussion and collaboration with their peers.
All virtual tutoring services are conducted in the convenience of the student's own home on the computer using a tutoring platform interface, in real-time with a live tutor. Services and programs are offered to families, schools, and school districts using skype.
The benefits of 1-on-1 instruction are well-documented. In a 1-on-1 setting, students have the constant attention of the teacher so that they can listen and speak with much more comfort than in a group situation. Each student’s strengths and non-strengths are addressed more consistently and fully without the distraction of other students or the teacher’s compensation for different levels in one classroom. Each student can learn at his or her own pace and have the benefit of the tutor adapting to each individual learning style.
